ABOUT THE EVENT
The repertoire of the Pilsen ballet is once again welcoming the return of the Snow White – originally staged for our littlest audience, in the choreography and directing of Alena Pešková, who is known to the local theatregoers from several previously successful titles (Taming of the Shrew, Rite of Spring, Blood Wedding, Maryša, etc.).
The story of a girl who grows up into an incredible beauty that stirs massive envy and jealousy of her step-mother is known mainly through the cartoon by Walt Disney. However, our Snow White could not be more different from the iconic cartoon; it seeks inspiration in the original version – in the Brothers Grimm fairy-tale. And you, our dear audience, will be faced with a very realistic story of a beautiful girl, an evil and hateful queen, a good-hearted hunter, a prince, and seven dwarves – slightly odd bud good-natured creatures. From the very first tones and the black-and-white-clad actors it will be clear that this is a thrilling story of the fight between Good and Evil. The story that you will see is very close to the original text, yet it may differ in many aspects. But definitely it will offer a truly original experience. Let yourself be surprised whether the Good is actually going to beat Evil.
