Since 1665, when Moliere wrote Don Juan, the concept of this figure has developed dramatically. In the past, the Don Juan character was unambiguously negative, especially for his instability in love and rebellion against the ecclesiastical and secular orders. For people with whom Juan conflicts, especially those of the older generation, it is a fixation to recognised certified values and a submission to the appointed moral code.
