The Pilsen Philharmonic, under the baton of conductor Tomáš Brauner, invites you to an evening filled with the beauty and virtuosity of Czech music. The concert opens with Antonín Dvořák’s Serenade for Wind Instruments in D minor, Op. 44—a work of gentle lyricism and romantic spirit, celebrated for its elegance and expressive melodies. Next comes Concerto for French Horn and Orchestra "Memories" by Kryštof Marek, an emotionally rich composition that showcases the full expressive and technical range of the French horn, performed by the outstanding soloist Zuzana Rzounková. The evening concludes with Vítězslav Novák’s Slovak Suite, Op. 32, a vibrant orchestral portrayal of Moravian folk traditions, full of rhythmic vitality and colorful textures.
